HAPPY MOTHER"S DAY

I really do miss blogging and sharing about our lives, but it seems that so much has happened lately that I tend to be overwhelmed when I go to sit down and write about it or even think about it for that matter. There are constant interruptions which do not allow for complete thoughts. For example,  I have sat here and written a sentence 5 times because my train of thought has been interrupted by various children fighting and bursting in my room or knocking on my door to see if they can do something or tattle on someone...... Welcome to Motherhood.... of many! LOL so back to what I wanted to say!..  Uh, What was it??? uhmmm.... Oh, yes, Our lives!!!
This seems to be the norm in our lives currently, No one has much space to breathe on their own or get away for a few minutes.  Adjusting to living in a much smaller space has been one of the most difficult things we have had to do.  Our lease is up in a few months and we have been looking at houses with a little more space and so hope to be able to buy something where we can all spread out a little.  :) On the bright side though, I think at times it has been good for us to be in such close quarters...... I said, I think.  :) Our little UNITED NATIONS is learning to be UNITED.  All In all, we are still loving CA and look forward to the adventures of summer. Duane's parents arrive in a few days and then after they leave, Duane's sister arrives for a couple of weeks.  Our other plans this summer besides house hunting are to go  sledding in Mt. Shasta, Hiking at Mt. Lassen, a possible camping trip to the Beach, and to go gold panning with some friends on their property at Yuba River.  I'm sure there will be plenty of fishing and swimming in there somewhere!  So, here's hoping that I will keep up the blog to share my thoughts with you all who are encouragements to our lives!

As Mother's Day is today, I am thankful to be a mother to my diverse group of kids.  They are awesome and God teaches me daily to see them through his eyes and he teaches me how to love them to the depths that they need to be loved.  I don't always succeed at being who I should but I get right back up and try again. I used to try to be the perfect mom but I am long over that.  LOL My poor kids just don't know what to do with me somedays!  They are secretly looking for mom therapy and planning a mental lockup when I reach 50.  hehehe.... ( I hear the conspiracies and whispers)  --- You would think this was very funny if you lived in our house. :-) Soooo.... Happy Mother's Day to ALL the moms out there and especially to the ones who have opened their hearts to the ones who were once lonely.
