"June 27, Saturday
Today was our anniversary of 17 years. I miss Duane very much. Nothing much happened today, Just hanging around the compound chasing children."
Thankfully my pics are dated and it spurs my memory as to some happenings of the day. I am afraid that as I am writing all of this 4 months after the fact that a lot of the emotion and thoughts I had are not as intense or remembered. I hate this because that is a big part of sharing a story. I do remember that I was missing Duane quite a bit and felt sort of lonely. With no word on passports for the kids and scarce internet, I had to keep my focus on other things, which wasn't hard to do as Isaiah was everywhere and was not afraid to walk out onto the street or explore anywhere.
Andrew was so pleased that we ate his grasshoppers that he spent most of the day "hunting" them and we had to have them again. This time I cooked them.

The mission team from Epic Church in California were awesome. The whole group had such servants hearts and so wanted to minister to the missionaries. A few nights we had worship together and it was so refreshing just to sit back and focus on Jesus.
Isaiah wanted to hang out with Maggie and she was great to let him.

dear Jesus. you actually ate grasshoppers. our sweet hosts wanted to buy us grasshoppers but we very graciously declined. thankfully, they understand the culture differences. we did try many other things, but not the hoppers.
