We Are Coming Home- By airplane that is!

Well, we got a phone call from the Embassy to day and she had good news! Our approval surfaced
here in Kampala today. The Consulate was already booked with visa appointments for today and knew she wouldn't be able to squeeze us in , so we go tomorrow at 1:30pm.
Our visas will be ready by Friday.
Our travel agent searched flights for us and since this is a high travel season and booking less than one week ahead, there were not a choice of flights available. The flights were either sold out or so expensive, we couldn't afford them. But she did find a flight that goes through Ethiopia and Brussels that puts us in Business Class all the way to Brussels for a decent price!! Yeah God!
The flight leaves out Saturday evening and we arrive in Huntsville on Sunday evening.
We are so excited and are glad that this journey is coming to an end. Our family is going to be reunited in a few days!

Ohhhhh! I have been praying for you guys and this is an awesome answer to my prayers! Woohooo!

Melissa, you guys inspire all of us to DO what God is leading us to do, never letting hindrances, distraction, bad reports, or circumstances keep us from the vision. I am fired up!

AND...I cannot wait to welcome these precious children HOME.

Love ya!

Just found your blog. What an adventure you have been on. I had to scroll back MANY pages to find out exactly how long you have been in Uganda.

A year ago, my husband and I both traveled to Ghana to bring home 3 children. We were told it should take 2 weeks. We left 8 children home alone with 21 year old brother (to work his 2 jobs and homeschool the little ones). The 2 weeks turned into 6 weeks. So, I can understand how you are feeling right about now. Our delays were also U.S. Embassy problems, NOT African problems.

Hope you have a BLESSED flight home to your family.
