Today we found out by some of the students talking to Andrew that the children have a 3 year old sister! Her name is Karneaza Nisiima. Andrew told us the story of how they got separated, which I won't share right now, but you could see the sadness in his eyes as he told us. Allen also became very quiet. Karnesa was with the mother when she died. So at this point we didn't know if the baby was dead or alive. Andrew told Justine that he would try to think real hard about other things to try to help find her, because he wanted her with us. So, I immediately called HFU telling them and asking if they would contact Godfrey, the social worker for the area to try to find the child. They actually knew but had looked and came to a dead end. We found out later from Andrew that Karneaza may have been left with the people she worked with. So she is alive!
So on Monday, the 4th of Feb. Becky with HFU is going to look for Karneaza. We know God knows where that child is. We are praying that God will lead Godfrey and Becky to her. All the paperwork we need to do to make this happen before we leave seems impossible but we serve a God that can do miracles! I have seen Him change country policies and move govt. officials in every adoption we have done and I know God will do the same here. Jana and I and our husbands have handed it off to God. I can't wait to see what God does!! Another development has happened also! A friend of mine is hoping to adopt another 5 year old from HFU and we may be escorting her home! So instead of 2 we may come home with 4!
